Woman Loses Control of Vehicle, Slams into Guide Rail off Route 219

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police have released the details of a crash that occurred last week in Bell Township.

According to police, around 7:17 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, a one-vehicle crash occurred on State Route 219 just north of Johnson Road in Bell Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 68-year-old Patricia E. Turner, of La Jose, Pa., was operating a 2000 Dodge Neon, traveling south on State Route 2019, when she lost control and struck a guide rail on the east side of the road.

Turner and her passenger, 60-year-old Clara M. Friday, of La Jose, Pa., were both wearing seatbelts, and no injuries were reported.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Mahaffey Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Turner was cited for a speed violation.
