Summary of Curry Case

According to the criminal complaint, on November 20, 2014, Clarion County Children and Youth Services called New Bethlehem Police Sgt. Roger E. Wright concerning a report of suspected child abuse, implicating Thomas Eugene Curry.

A forensic interview was conducted on December 4, 2014, at Western PA Cares for Kids in Brookville, and Sgt. Wright observed the interview on a television screen in another room.

During the interview, the victim described in detail the alleged sexual abuse that occurred about four times per week. She indicated that Curry told her, “Don’t say nothing or there will be consequences.”

The victim also said that “Curry had threatened to kill her (family) if she told anyone about the sexual abuse,” the complaint said.

Additionally, she said that “Curry placed a gun to her head after he chipped her tooth from raping her….Curry told the victim to tell everyone she chipped her tooth at WalMart,” the complaint added.

The victim advised that there was a room under Curry’s basement and that he allegedly took her into this room and forced her to perform sexual acts. Curry also allegedly forced the victim to watch pornography with him, according to the complaint.

The complaint states that on December 16, 2014, a medical exam was conducted, and the results were given to Sgt. Wright. Photographs were taken and kept on file at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Based on the information gathered during his investigation, Sgt. Wright requested an arrest warrant be issued for Curry.
